OK, do Italians really know Italian, or do they just know enough to sound cool while eating in their restaurants? You watch all of these movies, and everyone in the place knows Italian. OK, Spanish? I'd understand that. Italian? NO. Most people's knowledge of Italian is off a Franco-American can. Somebody please explain this to me. If I went to an African restaurant, I wouldn't simply know how to speak Swahili. I smell a ruse!
