Sometimes I wonder how old my mom is, psychologically. For the uninformed, she's 66. But she seems to enjoy the entertainment provided to 16 yr-olds.

Last summer, she was all about American Idol, The Simple Life, and the OC. Even I wasn't watching The OC, but she was enthralled.

So, last night was the season premiere of The Simple Life: Interns, so i figured she'd watch it. But I was mistaken...

I get home and ask, "Mommy, did you watch The Simple Life tonight?"

And she said one of the worst things I've ever heard:

"Nah, I didn't care too much to watch it. I can't stand that Ritchie girl...She looks like her panties stink!"

Yeah.

Wow.

That's wrong on so many levels.

But I will say your mom can say whatever she wants and I'm here to enforce that! (Unless of course it is something negative against Michael Jackson, Daniel Day Lewis, or Final Fantasy b/c all of those are sacred).
